As Milo turns a whopping 8 weeks old, we've already compiled hundreds of photos and quite a few videos chronicling his adventures. Some of you have been bombarded with my e-mails, others have to rely on the aunts, uncles, and grandmas to pass the Milo updates your way. Some of you want more Milo, more often, and others like your Milo in smaller, less frequent doses. Plus, who needs e-mail clutter?
And so, I bring you, the Milo blog! I'll do my best to update it frequently with photos, video snippets, and news of our sweet boy's progress and antics. For starters, here are some snippets from our recent trip to Wisconsin.

The visit was very last-minute, and due to the sad reason that Steve's grandma, Cele Freiburger, died quite unexpectedly. However, the trip was wonderful. Milo traveled beautifully and made his parents and grandparents very proud. He was passed between dozens of friends and relatives, almost always without losing his smile, and he weathered travel delays and long, tiring days with far more equanimity than did his frazzled parents. It was great to introduce him to the Freiburger side of the family, especially his Aunt Laura and Uncle Doug and his Great Grandma Vesbach.

This trip also marked Milo's first experience with a dog - his very energetic "cousin" Stela.
He seemed unfazed by the doggie kisses. Stela, on the other hand, was pretty freaked out by the tiny attention-stealer.
By the time November rolls around, Milo will be an even-more-seasoned traveler. He and I leave on Friday for New York, where he will meet his Cohen and Bockian/Mermelstein relatives and many friends. While we travel out-bound with Grandma S-J and Grandpa Bill, Milo and I will make the return trip alone (Steve is visiting another friend in Florida over the same weekend). I'm a tad nervous about managing solo all the extra gear required to travel with a kiddo! Stay tuned for the full report on Milo's Big Apple adventure.
